Programmes in Delhi:
Poojya Swamiji accompanied by Ma Gurupriyaji arrived in
CIRD, Vasundhara on 5 Nov for the 34th Annual Delhi Jnaana
Yajna. Swami Nirviseshananda Tirthaji was already present
there from 19 November.
Guru Archana,
on behalf of all the
devotees, was performed by Smt. Sudarsh and Sri Manohar Lal
Sardana on 9 November.
On 12 Nov, Swamiji, along with Dr. E Sreedharan and Sri Bharat
Wakhlu, addressed a group of newspaper editors to apprise them of the message
and goals of FRNV. A Press Conference with around 40 members of national media
took place at the India International Centre on 17 November.
On 15 & 16 Nov full-day FRNV volunteers meetings were held
at CIRD. Poojya Swamiji guided the sessions, inspiring volunteers with his
focus on the greater national significance of the Summit.
The First National Summit on National Value Crisis and
Redressal took place at the Stein Auditorium of India Habitat Centre, Lodhi
Road, New Delhi on 18 & 19 November. About forty panelists on the Thinker’s
Voice Panel, presented their thoughts on the value crisis as well as the steps
towards redressal. They also responded to the questions raised by the
delegates. More than 300 delegates participated. The summary of the
proceedings will soon be put on the FRNV website (www.valuefoundation.in).
“The Performance Theatre”, an International Foundation, invited
Poojya Swamiji to deliver the keynote address on 14 Nov. The Foundation aims
at identifying and addressing key challenges that face global business over
the next 3-6 years by creating an annual, global forum that brings together
accomplished business leaders, political heads, Nobel laureates and prominent
citizens from different nations. The programme this year was held in Taj
Hotel, New Delhi. Poojya Swamiji spoke on “Harnessing Inner Resources –
Towards a Sustainable Civilization”.
Poojya Swamiji’s evening talks on “Universal Concepts in
Bhagavadgeeta” were held at the Chinmaya Mission Auditorium (Lodhi Road) from
22 to 26 Nov. His early morning classes on “Harnessing Inner Resources for
Interactional Excellence”, based on Vivekachoodamani were held at CIRD.
Poojya Swamiji along with Ma and Nutan Swamiji will return to the
Ashram on December 02.
On Nov 02, Poojya Swamiji
inaugurated ‘Vijnana Heritage Meet’ a monthly programme at Vedavyasa Bhavan,
Vyasagiri, Wadakancheri.
As announced earlier, the 7th
Sreemad Bhagavata Tattva Sameekshaa Satram
will be held in Naimisharanyam,
Paralikad, Thrissur, from December 24
to January 01.
On November 02, Poojya Swamiji, in the presence of many devotees
who had assembled for the occasion, erected the Satram Pandal Post,
symbolizing commencement of preparatory activities.
The Satram has now become an annual event fondly looked forward
to by the Bhagavata lovers in the entire region. Thousands of devotees from
different villages and cities are expected to assemble in Naimisharanyam daily
to listen to the 9-day exposition.
The Satram aims at instilling the values expounded in the Text
making them ‘the warp and woof of daily life’. More than 30
distinguished exponents – sannyaasins and scholars – will be speaking on the
great Text, emphasizing its philosophy, deeper values and principles. The
message of Sreemad Bhagavatam is that Knowledge of the Supreme Truth is the
sole panacea for the human mind afflicted by the world.
Over 1000 devotees will participate in the Vishnusahasranaama
Saamoohika Yajña on 01 January 2009, the concluding day of the satram.
14th Annual Geeta Tattva Sameeksha
in Thrissur will be held between
18 and 25 January 2009 at the
Vadakkunathan Temple Sreemoolasthanam. Poojya Swamiji will speak (in
Malayalam) on Guna-traya-vibhaaga yoga, the 14th chapter of
Bhagavadgeeta.
