      75th Jayanti of Poojya Swamiji was observed on May 13 at the Ashram, CIRD Delhi, SIRD Malaysia, BVC Jamshedpur, Chennai and Pune. Reports on the celebration appear in page 18.

      On May 11, Poojya Swamiji attended the pratishthaa-divasam ceremony (marking the anniversary of the Installation of the Deity) at Aykunnu Pandavagiri Devi temple. Many devotees from the village came to participate in the festival, which consisted of a grand procession on the hilltop with five accoutered elephants, accompanied by panchavaadyam. The function concluded with beautiful fireworks.

      On the same evening (May 11), Poojya Swamiji was invited by the devotees at the Mahavishnu Temple in Nankulam, Thrissur, where they celebrated the 60th anniversary of the Bhaagavata-saptaaham being conducted there. Lighting the lamp (yajna-deepam) for the Shashthhyabda-poorti Mahotsavam, Swamiji spoke about the greatness of Sreemad Bhaagavatam, explaining why the text is called a paaramahamsya-samhita.

      Programmes in Bangalore: The fourth joint meeting of the members of the Advisory Board, Patrons and the Organizing Committee of the “Foundation for Restoration of National Values” (FRNV) will be held on June 20 at Bangalore. Poojya Swamiji will also deliver a spiritual discourse at “Purandara Bhavana” (Indiranagar Sangeetha Sabha), behind Indiranagar Club, 8th Main, HAL II Stage, on June 20, at 6:30 pm.

      Gurupoornima & Retreat programmes: As announced in May issue, Gurupoornima & Retreat Programmes will be held between July 18 and 24. Participation of those who have applied for registration will be confirmed by June 20.
